A short, intensive summer school run by Chiang Mai University with partner research institutions, built around the intersection of climate change and human movement — migration, displacement and the policy that governs both.
Six days, which is short enough to fit around a term and long enough to cover a subject properly.

"Emerging scholars" is doing real work in that sentence — this is pitched at early-career researchers and postgraduates rather than at undergraduates generally.
Two details worth noting. The airfare is reimbursed, not booked for you, so you need to be able to front the cost. And there is no IELTS requirement, which removes a genuine barrier — English tests cost money and take weeks to schedule, and their absence here widens the field considerably.
Note also that the flight is to Bangkok; Chiang Mai is a further domestic hop or an overnight train, and that leg is not mentioned.
The 2026 round closed on 31 March 2026 and ran from 4 to 8 May. The dates shown here are an expectation for 2027, not a confirmed schedule.
